Project Description

The project was designed as a mixed-use building that promotes social and economic connections both within the building and its surroundings. Located in Ebene, a highly sought neighbourhood known for its emergent information, service and technology hub, the “Exotic Group Headquarters and Warehouse” sits next to the boundary of a residential neighbourhood. We needed to harmonize with the site by crafting an interaction among the working environment, entertainment spaces and residential zones. A new approach to the aesthetical aspect of the scheme brought a new dimension to the design of the warehouse.

Bridging the building design with the immediate surroundings, the residential neighborhood, created an innovative synergy to industrialism. This concept led to having two independently standing structures: “headquarters” mainly for semi-public while “warehouse” for private spaces. Dividing the functions and spaces of the mix-use building was the starting point for the metamorphosis of the principal structure, accompanied by a floating bridge shaping a dynamic flow between the two distinct and yet connected spaces.
